Telecom Regulator Authorithy Of India [TRAI] has released MNP Data and Broadband Subscriber base For May 2011
Total Wireless subscriber base of India has reached 826.93 Million [Till end of April 2011]
According to Telecom Regulator Authorithy of India, Mobile Number Portability requests has increased to 64.23 lakh subscribers at the end of March 2011 from 38.33 lakh subscribers at the end of February 2011

Vodafone one of India’s largest GSM mobile operator has gained maximum subscribers through the MNP[Mobile Number Portability] Route gaining almost 1.9 lakh users…
According to official figures by the Department of Telecom ( DoT )
“A total of 19,79,600 numbers of subscribers have ported their numbers so far using the MNP facility,”
